A recent OSX update (10.1.102.64) resulted in loss of iSight access in Flash Player. This one has been causing headaches for FMS developers everywhere. If you are one of the many who have been stymied by this issue, you’ll be happy to know that its been fixed in the latest release candidate build of Flash Player 10.2.

So far the bug fix has been verified on the following configurations:

MacBook pro 10.6.5 and 10.6.6

* Firefox 3.5.10
* Firefox 3.6
* Safari Version 5.0.3 (6533.19.4) running in 32-bit mode.
* Safari 5.0
* Chrome 8.0.5

This must have been a tough one to track down, so kudos to the Flash Player team for making it a priority and getting to the bottom of it.

Here’s hoping this isn’t a cat and mouse game with Apple. Will keep an eye on this issue.
