Prezi has launched Prezi for Android, giving over 1 billion Android users around the world the ability to access their presentations anytime, anywhere. And according to a recent IDC study, Android owns about 80% of the smartphone market – giving Prezi a huge new user base.
The popular presentation platform released their Prezi for Android app in response to growing demand from users, with CEO and co-founder of Prezi, Peter Arvai saying, “Our users have been asking for an Android app for a long time…With Prezi for Android, you can have all your presentations in your pocket, so you can pitch and refine your story anytime.”
Before the widespread launch, Prezi released a beta version of the app in Australia, where it was well-received. Dr. Naomi Findlay, founder of International Institute of Home Staging, was one of the first beta testers for the app, and had the following to say: “Having just moved from iPhone to Android, it was great to see that Prezi was available and it’s proved invaluable to be able to view my presentations on the move using my smartphone.”
The key benefits and features of the Prezi for Android app are:
- Cloud Syncing : Keeps users’ current Prezi updated across devices
- Remote mobile presenting: Users can invite up to 30 people to a presentation and can deliver it away from the office
- On-the-go access: Full access to saved prezis, online prezis, and those shared by others
- Offline access: No internet connection necessary to access recently used prezis and others for inspiration
I was a beta tester for the app on my Nexus tablet, and it worked great. If you’re an Android user, let me know what you think of the app in the comments!
